Selecting a Class

Flow Yoga

Flow-style yoga, also known as ‘vinyasa’ yoga, is a dynamic and engaging breath-centered practice characterized by flowing movements.  Poses are linked together smoothly, embodying a rhythmic inhale and exhale. 

Warm Yoga

Our classes range from 78-84 degrees.  Why?  Because we love a good sweat.  Yet, we also love cultivating balance in our soul-filled bodies.  Therefore, we warm the space just enough, to avoid overly stressing our bodies. 

Intensity Levels

Flow yoga classes can vary widely in terms of intensity, pace, sequence, and focus.  To illustrate what to expect in our Soul Friends yoga classes, we use ‘Sweat Factors’.

What determines the Sweat Factor? 
(Scale 1-5)

The Sweat Factor hinges largely on: 

  1. The temperature of the room

  2. The pace of the movements

  3. The intensity of the movements

  4. You!  Some people sweat more readily than others.

🔥Sweat Factor 1

Don’t plan on sweating, due to the mild temperature of the room, and the gentle nature of the class itself.

 

🔥🔥Sweat Factor 2

You might sweat.  The temperature is 78, and the pace is mild.  

 

🔥🔥🔥Sweat Factor 3

You will probably sweat.  The temperature is 80, with a moderate, accessible pace.

 

🔥🔥🔥🔥Sweat Factor 4

The temperature is 82, and though the pace is accessible, the intensity encourages more sweating.

 

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Sweat Factor 5

Sweating guaranteed!  The temperature is 84, and both the intensity and pace make this our most fiery class.

Foundations Soul Flow 

Sweat Factor 2

This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their practice. Foundational poses, proper alignment and mindful movement are the focus, along with ways to modify poses to make them available to your body. Breathwork and relaxation techniques are woven throughout the practice to enhance body awareness and ease tension.

Whether you are new to yoga or returning to the basics, this class provides a supportive space to build strength, flexibility and confidence on the mat.

Vibrant Soul Flow

Sweat Factor 4

This invigorating all-levels class blends powerful, heat-building sequences with moments of deep release. Through the power of breath, movement and mindful transitions you’ll find both challenge and ease, leaving you feeling strong, open and refreshed.​​​

Soulful Restore

Sweat Factor 1

This class is a soothing blend between Yin and Restorative yoga, designed to release tension, calm the nervous system, and promote deep relaxation. Through gentle, long-held postures supported by props, you will ease into stillness, allowing both body and mind to unwind. Perfect for anyone seeking a powerful way to rest, recover from the week, and find a moment of peaceful surrender.

Luminous Soul Flow

Sweat Factor 3

In this all-levels class you will move with intention to connect breath with movement, and flow at a steady, accessible pace. Perfect for those who are looking for mindful movement with slightly longer holds, to help you get into the present moment and nourish the soul. You will leave feeling centered, refreshed and deeply connected to yourself.

Fiery Soul Flow

Sweat Factor 5

Get ready to sweat and get out of your comfort zone!   This all-levels vigorous practice will challenge your strength, endurance, and flexibility as you flow through heat-building poses, fun transitions, and deep core engagement.  If you are looking to elevate your practice or push past your limits, this class will leave you feeling stronger and empowered.

Virtual Classes

Sweat Factor 1-5

We offer a seamless live stream option for every single class.  That way even if you have to stay home, or are traveling, you can still participate in any class you choose.
